The first two years are common to all students. The first (freshman) year provides a broad foundation in mathematics, physics and computer programming, and offers an introductory course in Computer Science / Telecommunications (Information and Communications Technology – ICT). The second (sophomore) year offers more mathematics and fundamental ICT classes, emphasizing circuits, analog and digital electronics, signals and systems.

During the third (junior) year, more ICT courses are taught, including control systems, design of digital systems and computers, and a few courses associated with a particular specialization area. During the final (senior) year most courses taken are specialization electives. In addition to science and engineering courses, courses in humanities, arts, economics, or social sciences (non-ICT electives) are also required to be taken each year. Physical education is compulsory for two years despite that students gain no credits for it.

During the third (junior) year and the final (senior) year most courses are associated with a particular specialization. The last year of studies also includes Senior Design Project - a course in which the student, under the supervision of his/her advisor, works individually on a practical engineering problem.
