The MIANOWSKI FUND established in 1881 was reestablished in the form of a Foundation for the Promotion of Science in 1991. The Fund has an Advisory Board, composed of delegates representing Polish Academy of Sciences, Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences in Cracow, Warsaw Society of Arts and Sciences, Poznań Society of Friends of Arts and Sciences, The Scientific Society of Gdańsk, University of Warsaw, Jagiellonian University, Cracow, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, University of Łódź, Nicholas Copernicus University, Toruń, Marie Curie-Skłodowska University, Lublin, Catholic University of Lublin, Warsaw University of Technology and Wrocław University of Technology.
The Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications was established in 1993.

The Association of Polish Electrical Engineers, further termed SEP, is a creative kind of organization of scientific-technical character, a voluntary association of electricians of all specialties and people whose professional activity is connected with vastly understood electrical engineering as well as legal persons interested in the activity of SEP.
Photonics Society of Poland (PSP) is presently with its 215 members the largest and the most powerful optics/optoelectronics/photonics organization in Poland. It has already started integration and consolidations activities with Committee of Electronics and Telecommunication/Polish Academy of Sciences and with Committee of Optoelectronics/ Society of Polish Electrical Engineers.
