Zaproszenie na wykłady prof. Jang Kyoo Shin, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea pod tytułem "Image Sensors"

We kindly invite you to the lectures : Image Sensors

by Prof. Jang Kyoo Shin, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea

February 19th (Tue) to 22nd (Fri), 2019
15H15 – 17H00
Lecture room 146, FEIT

Outline of the lectures: Image sensors convert light signals into electrical signals and they are now everywhere in our life. There are two kinds of image sensors, CCD and CMOS image     sensors.  Since CMOS image sensors (CISs) have more advantages and better prospects compared to CCDimage sensors, the lectures will be mostly focused on CMOS image sensors. A background insemiconductor devices and electronic circuits will be helpful. The lectures are composed of 4 parts.Following is the list of contents which will be discussed in the lectures.

(1)    Photodetection (2hrs)

-          Basic semiconductor physics

-          Fundamentals of photodetection

-          Photodetectors for CMOS image sensors

(2)    CMOS Image Sensors: Fundamentals (2 hrs)

-          Pixel structures

-          Peripheral circuits

-          Sensor characteristics

(3)    CMOS Image Sensors: Design and Fabrication (2 hrs)

-          Current mode sensor and log sensor

-          Analog operation and digital processing

-          Special structures and materials

(4)    High Performance Imaging and Applications (2 hrs)
