Solidarity with the Ukraine

The academic community of the Warsaw University of Technology shows full solidarity with the people of Ukraine in these dark moments. Nothing justifies Russia’s military aggression against its neighbour. In Europe, so profoundly marked by the atrocities of World War II, which left millions dead in their wake, the conduct of Russian authorities gives rise to legitimate concern about the future of the entire continent.

We all want to live in peace and therefore dialogue should be the only way to resolve conflict – this stance is clearly and unambiguously maintained by the authorities of the Warsaw University of Technology, its staff members, students and PhD students. We hope for swift discontinuation of military action and its replacement with talks, as well as respect for the state boundaries recognized by the international community.

We realize that this is a difficult time for all of us. Therefore, the WUT offers psychological assistance to those members of the academic community who are anxious and concerned about the current events. We are also considering introducing new tools to help WUT students, PhD students and staff members of Ukrainian origin. The tools will be provided as needed to enable our Ukrainian community members to continue to work and study at the Warsaw University of Technology.
